Set on the floor of the Great Rift Valley, Lake Nakuru National Park is compact and rewarding, with woodland, cliffs and lakeshore.

Flamingo numbers fluctuate with water levels, so they shouldn't be the only reason to visit — the park is also an important rhino sanctuary.
